Sylvia is an Associate Director at Altura Governance, where she leads client relationships and business development across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the Asia-Pacific region. She is a key part of Altura’s presence in the region, working directly with investment managers and cross-jurisdictional intermediaries to deliver governance solutions that are both commercially practical and institutionally sound.
Prior to joining Altura, Sylvia worked at Waystone Governance, where she collaborated closely with fund directors on governance transactions, applied rigorous risk judgment to strengthen operational controls, and provided investors and managers with the accountability and transparency they needed throughout the governance process. Earlier in her career, she held full-time roles at international law firms Herbert Smith Freehills and DeHeng Law Offices in Hong Kong, where she built a strong grounding in legal and cross-border frameworks.
With a deep understanding of the Asia-Pacific investment landscape and strong relationships across the region, Sylvia is well-positioned to support managers operating across complex, multi-jurisdictional structures.
Sylvia holds a Bachelor of Arts in China Studies from City University of Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
