Meet Marlene St-Jean
Marlene St-Jean is an independent director serving on a range of investment fund structures, including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital vehicles. Marlene has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and possesses deep expertise in all aspects of investment funds, across a broad spectrum of strategies and investment products, from both fund administration and audit perspectives.
Marlene is a former director at Zedra Fund Administration (Cayman) Limited, an independent fund administration firm in the Cayman Islands. She served as an independent director for various hedge funds and private equity funds, and participated in the strategic development of the firm. She also headed the fund accounting department, overseeing the net asset value calculations, the provision of transfer agent services and various ancillary services.
Before joining Zedra, Marlene was a director in the fund audit department at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Cayman Islands, where she oversaw numerous hedge funds audit engagements.
Marlene holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Sherbrooke and qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada. She is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, and an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
