Mike Lukasek is an independent director based in the United States, bringing extensive experience in fund governance, operational oversight, and financial controls across a broad spectrum of investment structures. His governance background spans hedge funds, private equity, public and private credit vehicles, and asset-backed securities, with exposure to strategies including long/short equity, private equity, and structured credit.
Prior to joining Altura Governance, Mr. Lukasek served as Managing Director within the Office of Investments at the University of Pennsylvania. Since joining in 2010, he oversaw day-to-day operational functions, led operational due diligence across investment managers, and served as Chief Compliance Officer. His responsibilities included financial oversight, regulatory reporting, and strengthening institutional governance frameworks within a sophisticated endowment environment.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lukasek was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs (2007–2010), where he oversaw fund accounting for Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s fund-of-funds platform. He also served as Vice President of Finance at Summit Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, with responsibility for financial management and reporting. Prior to Summit Partners, he worked with a multi-strategy hedge fund in Bermuda and began his career at Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Lukasek holds a BSBA from Nichols College and an MBA from Boston University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
